Google has made sure that Android is everywhere, but never has that been more obvious at their latest Google I/O event. To keep that outreach moving, they’ve announced new Android elements heading to their Chromebook lineup.
Google’s aiming to make a great experience across all mobile and non-mobile devices. That’s now going to include Chromebooks, as Google has unveiled Android features/elements being tossed over into the Chromebook lineup. That includes notifications from your phone being presented on your Chromebook, for one. Also, you’ll even get low-battery notifications on your Chromebook as well, if your phone’s battery is running low.

Additionally, Google is brining Android apps to the Chromebook family, as apps you can launch right in the main launcher. It’s rolling out, and Google plans to release it to the public later this year, but they were adamant that it’s a slow and technical problem, so it may take some time to get that seamless experience.
