Students buying iPhone, iPad and Macs: Apple’s Back to School promotion starts at the end of June

Every year, Apple launches its Back to School promotion, that lets students or their parents buy Macs, iPhones, iPads or iPod touch, and get a free iTunes gift card with the purchase.

This year, Apple is expected to launch its Back to School promotion at the end of June, that is within the next two weeks. Apple launched the promotion last year at a similar time, giving students a free $100 App Store gift card with Macs, and $50 gift card with iPhone or iPad purchases.
From 9to5Mac:
Apple could be planning to launch its annual Back to School sales promotion within the next two weeks. Apple Stores, according to several employees, will be changing the front of store glass window displays overnight on June 30th. This is the usual timeframe in which Apple launches a promotion to boost Mac, iPad, and iPhone sales in anticipation of the new school year in the fall.
If you’re looking to buy a new Mac or iOS device soon, it might a good idea to hold off until the Back to School promotion launches. You must be a college student, a student accepted to a college, a parent buying for a college student, or a faculty or staff member from any grade level to qualify for the App Store Gift card and get education pricing on a Mac.
