Apple’s Campus 2 architecture samples get set up in Germany

Campus 2 sample architecture
Apple’s Campus 2, the spaceship-like design that will take up quite a bit of space when it’s constructed in Cupertino, California, is coming along nicely. It’s a large project to say the least, and updates aren’t regularly available quite yet. But for anyone looking forward to the final design, seeing a sample of the future building could be just the tease you’re looking for.
The images were originally published by German site, ifun.de, and showcase samples of what’s supposed to be Campus 2. The original report says that the sample pieces, which you can check out in detail through the source link below (and see in the image above), were seen on Josef Gartner GmBH’s premise, which is located in Gundelfingen, Germany. The architecture was erected to reportedly test out the materials being used.

We’ve known that Campus 2 would be a circular structure of glass and steel, and we’ve seen the renders that do a good enough job outlining how big the building will be, but seeing the construction equipment next to the wall gives us a better look at just how big Campus 2 is going to be.
There’s a lot of passion going into the project at Campus 2, some of which we’ve seen from architect Norman Foster of Foster + Partners, as he’s talked about the project in the past. With work well underway for Campus 2, and an expected completion date sometime in 2016, we don’t have much longer to wait to see the final design.
What do you think of Campus 2?
