New Photos and Video of iPhone 6 front panel give closer look at the design changes

iPhone 6 front panel - rounded edges
Couple of days back, we got the first glimpse of iPhone 6′s front panel, which revealed some interesting tidbits about the next generation iPhone’s design.
Chinese website iFanr.com has just published some more photos and a detailed hands-on video of iPhone 6′s front panel, which gives us a much closer look at the design changes.
The photo shows the front panel with a gloss finish and tapered, rounded edges, instead of the straight edges seen on the iPhone 5s/5. The rounded edges of the front panel will supposedly integrate seamlessly with the edges of the aluminum casing.

The photos reveal that the iPhone 6 front panel is significantly thinner than iPhone 5s/5 front panel.

The photos also show that the iPhone 6 could come with a relocated front camera, that is now to the left of the earpiece compared to the iPhone 5s’ front camera that is located above the earpiece. The last iPhone with a similar front camera placement was the iPhone 4.

The iPhone 6 is also compared to the iPhone 5 in the photos, and gives a good idea of the size difference between the two devices. As you can see, despite the 4.7-inch screen, there doesn’t seem to be a lot of difference in the width of the two devices, due to iPhone 6′s thinner bezel.

Apple is widely expected to release two variants of the iPhone 6 this year, one with a 4.7-inch display and the second one with a 5.5-inch display. Recent reports indicate the new iPhones could be launched on September 19 or September 25.
iPhone 6 is also expected to include Apple’s new A8 processor, Touch ID fingerprint sensor, and an improved 8-megapixel camera. In addition to the obvious difference in display sizes, analysts expect the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 to also come with optical image stabilization as one more differentiating feature between the two models. Recent reports also indicate that the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will be available in only 32GB and 64GB storage options, and the 128GB storage option will be exclusively available only with the larger 5.5-inch model.
